Group Exercise Programs

As a cause-driven organization, the Y if focused on improving the health and well-being of the community. Group exercise programs are a fun and interactive way to get fit while having fun in a supportive group setting. The Y's group exercise instructors are highly-trained to provide safe and effective exercise programs. You are not alone in a Y group exercise class, our instructors help bring the class together to form supportive connections. Still the best benefit yet, is that group exercise programs are FREE to Y members.  

Boot Camp

You won't find any dance moves in this high intensity, sweat-inducing workout. If you are up for the challenge, join us for conditioning drills, high intensity cardio and strengthening exercises. Modifications offered for beginning/intermediate.

Body Toning

This hour long class is based on strength training. Participants will use a variety of equipment to work on full body strengthening.

Cycling

Cycling allows you to train and challenge your aerobic fitness level in a group setting. Instructors will use mussic to guide your ride. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class to set up your bike. It is recommended to bring water and a towel!

Instructor's Choice

Just like it sounds, your instructor will choose your workout. This class could range from cardio, strenghtening, water, land. Please check with the front desk for class scheduling on weekends.

Pilates

Pilates mat work is a system of stretching and strengthening exercises designed to work the body as a whole, focusing on the abdominal, lower back, and gluteal muscles.

Step Aerobics

A high-intensity low impact, cardiovascular workout is high energy and fun. You will be led through a series of combinations that will trigger the major muscle groups and cardio while working out on the step. Expect a fun, cardio-blating workout every time!

Zumba

Ditch the workout and join the party! This fun and easy to follow cardio class combines high energy and motivating Latin adn World music with unique moves and combinations that make you feel like you are on the dance floor. No dance experience nevessary!

YMCA Certified Personal Training

Switzerland YMCA personal training sessions give you motivation, support adn success. Our trainer will meet with you first in order to get a clear understanding of your fitness goals. Our certified personal trainer is committed to helping you improve your physical fitness, health and overall quality of life. All sessions are created to fit the individual needs to help you achieve maximum results and meet your fitness goals. During your session you can expect to be educated on proper exercising techniques for your personal fitness level, learn what exercises to focus on and how many sets and reps you should do. Our trainer will help you track your progress, provide motivation and give guidance.

CULTURAL IMMERSION

ENGAGE AND LEARN 

Adult Basic Spanish

Culturally immerse yourself. This unique, yet fun class teaches basic conversational Spanish. The emphasis is on the Spanish languagefor travelers. Current students have some limited exposure to the Spanish language.
